On June 3, 2025, the PVP team had the pleasure of conducting a dynamic and hands-on 8-hour Business Writing Workshop at Interasia Outsource Inc., led by the insightful and engaging Ms. Vina Vidal Vicente.

In today's fast-paced professional world, effective written communication is more than just a “nice-to-have”—it's essential. Whether you're writing an email to a client, drafting a report for management, or preparing a proposal for stakeholders, how you write can make or break your message. That’s exactly what this training aimed to address.
Why Business Writing Matters
Many professionals struggle to express their ideas clearly and concisely in writing. Emails become too long or unclear, reports miss the mark, and opportunities are lost in translation. Our Business Writing Workshop was designed to bridge that gap—by equipping teams with practical writing frameworks, essential principles, and modern tools like ChatGPT to make writing more productive and impactful.
This wasn't your typical lecture-style session. The learning experience was:

✅ And yes—fun and energizing, with good food and great conversations.

What We Covered: A Full Day of Writing That Works
Here’s a peek into what the Interasia Outsource team learned during the session:
🔹 Introduction to Business Writing
We kicked off the day by grounding participants in the importance of business writing and the common pitfalls many professionals face—unclear goals, vague messages, and tone mismatches. Participants were asked to identify their biggest writing challenges and reflect on what makes an email or memo truly effective.
🔹 Clear, Concise, and Confident Writing
Through the 7Cs of Communication (clear, concise, concrete, correct, coherent, complete, and courteous) and the “What – So What – Now What?” email framework, we helped participants simplify and structure their messages better. Writing isn’t just about grammar—it’s about making your message matter.
Participants practiced:
Rewriting long sentences to make them sharper
Using bullet points for clarity
Avoiding jargon that clouds understanding
And thanks to ChatGPT-powered prompts, these exercises became fast, fun, and surprisingly powerful.
🔹 Understanding Business Writing Formats
Not all writing is created equal. A report is different from a memo. An email needs a subject line that grabs attention. A proposal needs to sell an idea clearly and confidently. Participants explored different formats and practiced adjusting tone, structure, and purpose accordingly.
We asked ChatGPT:
🔹 “Generate an outline for a short report on productivity trends.”
🔹 “Write a follow-up email to a client regarding a pending proposal.”
The outputs were great starting points—then participants applied what they learned to make it their own.
Writing Better, Faster with ChatGPT
One of the most well-loved parts of the workshop was integrating AI into the writing process. We demonstrated how ChatGPT can:
Generate initial drafts
Suggest better phrasing
Help brainstorm topic ideas
Improve clarity and conciseness
Participants were excited to try prompts like:
💬 “Rewrite this message to sound more professional.”
💬 “Summarize this report in bullet points.”
💬 “Give me three subject line options for this email.”
With guided feedback, they saw first-hand how AI could support their writing—not replace their voice, but enhance their effectiveness.
Practice Makes Progress
The workshop wrapped up with a hands-on writing session, where participants paired up to draft a business email or short report using their own prompts and real workplace scenarios. Feedback was shared openly, and insights were celebrated.
Many participants shared that they felt more confident, efficient, and empowered to write messages that resonate and get results.
