As part of its October Mental Health Series, Premier Value Provider Inc. (PVP) held a 4-hour online workshop titled Empathy in Leadership: Building a Culture of Understanding and Support. The session was designed to help leaders and aspiring leaders cultivate empathy as a core leadership capability — one that strengthens trust, communication, and connection across teams.

Led by Doc Alessandra T. Arpon, RPsy, CSCOP, the training guided participants through an insightful journey of reflection and practice. The session explored the different types of empathy — cognitive, affective, and compassionate — and how these can be applied in real workplace scenarios. Through engaging activities such as empathy mapping, guided reflections, and breakout discussions, participants discovered how empathy can become a foundation for effective and compassionate leadership.
